Ted A. Ware, 61 of Colona passed away January 4, 2011 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 8th at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.,
6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Cremation rites will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family.
Ted was born on March 11th, 1949 in Silvis the son of William and June Thompson Ware. He was raised by his step-parents Charles and Edith Crider. He married Betty Retterath on June 27, 1970 in East Moline.
Ted graduated from United Township High School in 1967. He furthered his education at Bismarck Jr. College in Bismarck, North Dakota and Valley City State College in Valley City, North Dakota on a basketball scholarship. Ted was employed as a scheduler at Case I.H., retiring on May 1, 2002 after 30 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Colona. He was also a diehard St. Louis Cardinals and Iowa Hawkeye fan. He loved spending time with his grandkids.

Son - Chad (Carrie) Ware and their children Ethan, Ava, and Emma of Moline
Daughter - Tricia (Curt) Seei and their children Brady and Brock of Geneseo
Brother - Thomas (Sally) Ware of Silvis
Sister - Sandra Rusk of Geneseo
Special dog - Millie
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-parents, and his brother-in-law Earl Rusk.
