Terrence “Terry” Eugene Dugan, 74, of Silvis, IL, died peacefully surrounded by family Friday, December 14, 2018, at home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, East Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorials Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Terry was born on April 25, 1944 in Davenport, IA, the son of Thomas Richard and Mary Frances Flynn Dugan. He married Judith (Osbourne) Passman on October 4, 1979, at Green River Methodist Church in Green River, IL. Terry spent almost all of his working career driving buses. He drove for Metro Link for over 33 years and after he retired from there, he drove for Bettendorf Transit for 7 years. He always had stories to tell about being a bus driver.
Terry loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served Him in many ways including serving as past President and Vice President of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was also past President of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 313. His interests included anything to do with cars, travel and camping, eating at new places and taking care of his lawn. He enjoyed reading newspapers as well as car and history magazines. Most importantly he loved to spend time with his family and friends. Terry was a kind, forgiving, and honest man with a great sense of humor.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughters, Valerie (Troy) McDonald, Geneseo, IL, Jodi (Mark) Jorgensen, Davenport, IA, Michele Regalado; sister, Frances Ann Anderson, Davenport, IA; brothers, Timothy (Geri) Dugan, Davenport, IA, Brian (Karen) Dugan, LeClaire, IA; grandchildren, Rachel Passman, Robin (Rick Natale Fiancé) Passman, Tyler and Tanner Rusk, Dawsyn McDonald, Jayde and Ashlynne Jorgensen; step grandson, Dustin (Whitney) McDonald; step great-grandchildren, Kade Heilman and Reid McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Jack Passman, granddaughter, Tayler Rusk, and his brother, Kevin Dugan.
