Thelma P. Stewart, 91, of Silvis, IL, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 11 to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Thelma was born on August 28, 1923, in Watseka, IL, the daughter of Paul and Lida Jensen Pearson. She married Kenneth L. Stewart on April 26, 1942, in Urbana, IL, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 1994. She worked as a secretary for First United Methodist Church in Rock Island and later retired from Amoco/B.P. in Naperville, IL.
In her earlier years, Thelma enjoyed camping and volunteer work. She also enjoyed reading poetry. Thelma excelled at trivia games and crossword puzzles.
