Theresa Marie Lujan Escamilla, age 76, of Milan, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family.
Theresa was born February 15, 1936 in Moline, the daughter of Anthony and Delfina Juarez Lujan, Sr. She married Trinidad Escamilla on November 27, 1971 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2007.
Theresa was first employed as a seamstress at Seaford Clothing Co., later as an in-home caregiver, lastly as a homemaker. She was a member of Word of Life Christian Center in Rock Island, and the Red Hat Society. Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and cards, dancing and doing crafts.
