Thomas E. Gengler, 45, of Coal Valley, IL, died Saturday, August 17, 2013, in Moline, IL.
Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2013, at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 210 East 22nd Avenue, Coal Valley. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established.
Thomas was born on April 10, 1968, in Moline, IL, the son of Daniel and Jeanie (Lamberson) Gengler. He was a self-employed sub-contractor in roofing & construction. Thomas was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Coal Valley. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. Thomas also enjoyed fast cars and motorcycles. He had an exceptional love for his dogs.
