Thomas "T.R." Richter, age 68, of Osco, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 1301-4th Street, Orion. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion with military honors conducted by Orion American Legion Post #255.
Tom was born July 28, 1939 in Mt. Hope, WI the son of Aldro and Evelyn (Mulrooney) Richter. He married Joan Weidner on March 16, 1984 in Orion.
Tom was the Highway Commissioner for Osco Township, prior to that he worked at the Osco Fertilizer Company. He was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion; and was an army veteran. Tom enjoyed wood-working and sharpening saws and tools
