Thomas B. Whiting

Thomas B. Whiting, age 87, of Moline, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd.,
6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00 until service time on Monday. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246.
Tom was born June 23, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Benjamin and Theodosia Keyes Whiting. He married Verna R. Downing on December 22, 1946 in Moline.
Tom was employed as a General Agent for Allstate Insurance Company for over 45 years, retiring in June of 1986. He was a WW II Marine Corps veteran serving in China. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and hunting.
