Timothy W. Donth

Timothy “Tim” Donth, 54, of Moline, IL, passed away with his family at his side on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at UnityPoint Health-Trinity Rock Island.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at Rozz Tox, 2108 3rd Ave., Rock Island, IL.  Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Luverne, MN, at a later date.

Tim was born on July 20, 1963, in Luverne, MN, the son of Peter W. Donth and Bobby Ray Giboney.

Tim was a gentle soul, and was kind as the day is long. He lived a simple life and loved caring for his sister Missy’s fur babies, Nina and Bree. He was proud to call them his own after his sister passed away in December.

Tim was a hard worker, and a reliable employee everywhere he worked. He was currently employed at Treehouse Pub & Eatery, Bettendorf.

Tim’s passions include his family, his Minnesota roots, and Chickasaw heritage. Tim also loved his dogs, semi trucks, and always dreamed of being an over-the-road trucker like many of his family members. Tim will be deeply missed; his kind and gentle spirit will remain with us all.

Tim is survived by his siblings Peter D. Donth, Moline, Cindy (Tony) Carton, Apple River, IL, and Jamison Hill, Scottsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews: Benjamin Fawks, Rock Island, Lisa (Nick) Boyer, East Moline, Bill (Amy) Cunningham, San Antonio, TX, Tony (Steph) Carton, Mancos, CO, Hannah Carton-Kuhse, Apple River, IL, Rachel Carton, McDonough, GA, Dominic Carton, Apple River, IL, Chris (Teri) Carton, Rock Island, Jennifer (Brian) Casey, Silvis ; uncle Karen (Mary) Donth, and many loving cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, sister Marisa Sorrells, and niece Helen Carton.
