Timothy David Rumburg, 51, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, September 18, 2017, at home after an arduous battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017, at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family.
Timothy was born on March 14, 1966, in Moline, IL, the son of Linda Kay DeCapp and Otto Ray Rumburg. He attended United Township High School and was employed as a machine repairman by Sears Manufacturing for 29 years. During his time with Sears, he was highly thought of by the Sears family and his co-workers. In 1992, he married Sally White, who passed away on November 16, 2007.
Tim most enjoyed being “G-pa”, motorcycles, playing euchre, telling tales, and assigning nicknames. Tim enjoyed Quad Racing and was the “go-to man” for Jim’s Pineapple.
Survivors include his parents, Linda Rumburg and Otto (Glenda) Rumburg; a beloved fiancée, Karen DeKezel; daughters, Josey Rumburg, Mallory (Justin) Harvey; 4 grandchildren, Leila, Sarah, Tyler, and Joey; siblings, Roberta (Kevin) Saathoff, and Stephen (Michelle) Rumburg; niece, Stephenie Rumburg; nephews, Ryne and Chase Schroeder.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
