Timothy “Tim” Roy Wright, 61, of East Moline, IL, died Friday, September 15, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 17, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to cancer research.
Tim was born on June 1, 1956, in Moline, IL, the son of Roy and Colleen Brown Wright. He married Debra Ann Bjustrom on November 12, 2013. He worked as a sheet metal worker for Sheet Metal Workers Local 91 at Johnson Sheet Metal.
Tim was a member of Safety Corbin and Set in Arms ABATE. He was a motorcycle instructor for the State of Illinois and loved to drag race at Cordova Speedway.
Survivors include his wife, Debra Wright, East Moline, IL; sons, Jacob T. (Kiley) Wright and Nicholas R. Wright; step son, Joshua Long; grandchildren, Sophia, Xavier, and Chaz; step grandchildren, Banyan Azalea; sister, Joline (Tim) Stout.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
