Todd R. Hurst

Todd R. Hurst, 50, of Sherrard, died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to an educational fund to be established in Todd’s son, Barron’s name.

Todd was born on April 9, 1968, in Moline, the son of William R. and Karyn E. (Powell) Hurst.  He graduated from Moline High School in 1986.  Todd married Kara R. Jones.  He had been employed as the President of Hurst Manufacturing Corporation, Milan.

Todd was a member of the Milan Chamber of Commerce and the East End Club, Moline.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears and Mizzou athletics.  He was previously active in softball and bowling leagues.

Survivors include his wife, Kara; children, Nickolas Hurst, Moline, Peyton Jones, Port Charlotte, FL, Katlyn Hurst, Milan, Dalton Jones, Sherrard, and Barron Hurst, Sherrard; mother, Karyn Hurst, Moline; grandchildren, Brady and Oaklyn; brother, Marc (Andrea) Hurst, Bettendorf; grandmother, Adrienne Powell, East Moline; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, who were all very close to Todd.

He was preceded in death by his father.
