Vallie B. Colburn, age 90 of Moline died Saturday, September 16, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Transitions Mental Health Rehabilitation.
Vallie was born April 30, 1916 in Sardis, TN the daughter of Willis G. and Ollie (Davis) Ellis. She married Herman J. Colburn on January 8, 1944 in Mississippi.
Vallie was employed as office manager for 23 years at Carlson's Laundry retiring on August 1, 1983 . She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church were she was very active. She also was a member of Mississippi Valley Wood Carvers Association Vallie enjoyed wood carving , needlework and especially enjoyed working with young children.
