Vera Stannke, 93, of Moline, died December 1, 2009 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family for an education fund for her great grandchildren.
Vera was born September 27, 1916 near Sleeper, MO to Fred and Mabelle (Myers) Clifton. She married Milton Stannke, they later divorced. She then married Tom Hawkins.
Vera was a homemaker and later worked at Service Rubber on the assembly line. She retired from Service Rubber to help care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, going to yard sales and spending time with her family which was most important to her.
