Vernon E. "Buddy" Edwards, age 69 of Milan, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island.
Visitation is Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in Cave Hill Cemetery, Cave-in-Rock, IL. Memorials may be made to his family.
Vernon was born November 19, 1937 in Hardin County, IL, the son of Winfred and Edna (Jennings) Edwards. He married Sharon Bratsch on May 30, 1959.
Vernon was employed as a welder for 31 years at John Deere, retiring in 1992. He loved basketball, fishing, and playing cards, especially euchre. Vernon also enjoyed reading Western novels and watching Western movies. Vernon and Sharon loved traveling, vacationing and spending time in Las Vegas. Vernon also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
