Victor “Vic” Hoste, 60, of Colona passed away on September 29, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center Illini Campus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 201 1st Street, Colona. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Church or to the American Heart Association.
Vic was born on January 6, 1956 in Moline the son of Robert J. and Alice M. Smelkowski Hoste.
Vic was employed as a painter at Case IH / New Holland for 25 years and was currently driving for Ballegeer Excavating Inc. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Vic enjoyed NASCAR, working on cars, motorcycle riding and boating. Vic was well known for his nice yard and garden.
