Vincent "Vince" Edward Malmstrom, 46, of Milan, died January 6, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will Sunday from 2-6 p.m. with a rosary recited at 2 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Annawan, IL. Memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established.
Vince was born September 17, 1962 in Kewanee, IL to Lawrence Daniel and Willa Mae (Stark) Malmstrom. He was currently employed at Royal Neighbors of America for 26 years.
Vince was very involved with Jay Cees where he was past president, district president and past regional director, and an adjunct son to the Sons of the Legion attached to the Moline American Legion Post #246. After his implant he began speaking to groups about organ donations and organ transplants. When he wasn't involved with his memberships and speaking engagements he loved the outdoors, especially camping and woodworking.
