Viola Grace Brown, 87 of Montezuma, IA formerly of Moline died August 12, 2004 in Montezuma, IA.
A memorial service will be held 11a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave, Moline with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Per Mrs. Brown's wishes her body has been cremated. Memorials may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxilary, Moline.
Viola was born April 1, 1917 in Llye, MN to Elmer Arthur and Grace Isabell Onthank Mitchell. She married Floyd R. Brown on July 28, 1946 in a farm house in Malcom, IA.
Viola was a beautician and later a waitress for the Maid Rite on 23rd Avenue, Moline in the 1960's. She retired from Farmall, Rock Island in August of 1982, where she was employed by Canteen Food Service as a counter person.
Viola was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary, Moline. She also helped making crafts at Arrowhead Ranch. She liked to refurnish furniture.
