Virgie C. Hawotte, 81, of Silvis, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, June 3, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 11:00 until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice in care of St. John's Hospital, Springfield, Illinois.
Virgie was born on March 30, 1930 in Pearce Mills, Alabama to William and Frances Aldridge. She married Byron Myers on September 4, 1945 in Fayette, Alabama. He preceded her in death in 1982. She married Peter Hawotte in 1984 in Silvis. He preceded her in death in 2001.
Virgie retired from the East Moline School District # 37. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and camping.
