She was born January28, 1917 and married Robert K. Livesay on August 30,1935. She had a kind and gentle heart, loved to laugh, had a ready smile and generous spirit. She loved her family, was a loyal friend and even though Alzheimer's disease sidelined her in her last few years, she handled that disease with grace to the very end.
She enriched others' lives with her music. She loved to sing and learned to play the piano at a very young age. Her love of music continued throughout her life. She was always willing to sit down and play for family and friends her favorites. She had the gift of piano accompaniment as well. She played out the chords when her husband, Bob ("Dad" as the quartet called him) was practicing with the Vikings Barbershop quartet for many years. She also played the piano for many years at the Silvis Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. You could always count on her to help us all sing those beautiful songs. Her love of music was second only to the love she showed to all her family in so many ways.
She was truly a generous giver of both her time and energy to her family and friends. She loved to document her life through writing in her daily diaries and journals. If you needed to know what happened and when, Virginia had it documented with splendid penmanship. While she suffered from Alzheimer's in her later years, she was always special and such a joy to visit and be around. Her deep faith and love for God helped her through all the good and harder times. Especially enduring was her sense of humor and warm loving smile.
Survived by her daughter, Linda Livesay and son, Robert (Karen) Livesay; Grandchilden: Laura(Jeff) Yeater, Karla Livesay, Troy (Tara) Livesay, Paul (Laura) Livesay and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends: Preceded in death by husband Robert K.
