Vivian E. Butterfield, 83, of Orion, IL died Thursday, March 08, 2012 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Geneseo, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday March 12, 2012 at Osco Community Church, 311 Main Street, Osco. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Vivian was born on February 25, 1929 in Geneseo, IL the daughter of Nels Luther and Bertha (Neuleib) Larson.
She married Max L. Butterfield on September 6, 1952 in Coal Valley, IL. He preceded her in death on October 17, 1994. She was a Beauty Operator at the former New York store in Moline, IL as well as a school bus driver for Orion School District for 13 years. She was also a Nurses Aid for Oak Glen Home and Hillcrest Nursing Home. Vivian was a member of Ladies Aid for Osco Community Church as well as Coordinator for the Orion Food Pantry. She received the Good Citizens Award from the Orion Chamber of Commerce in 1994. Vivian was known for making quilts and sewing.
