Vivian Grace Cathelyn, 70, of East Moline, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2011, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Inurnment will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to Boys & Girls Club, Moline or the Women's Shelter in Rock Island.
Grace was born on October 28, 1940 in LeClaire, Iowa the daughter of Samuel and Vivian Shannon Craig. She married Camiel Cathelyn in June of 1965 in Moline. He preceded her in death on April 9, 1977.
Grace attended Albert Gross School and Fall Brook High School in Fall Brook, California. She graduated in April, 1965 from the Rock Island County School of Practical Nursing. She also attended Black Hawk College and Hamilton Tech College in 1993.
Grace worked at Lutheran Hospital and many years at Bendix Corp. She was active in the "Clown Ministry", Awana's, Handicapped Development Center, and Boys and Girls Club. She enjoyed playing Santa, tutoring and visiting nursing homes.

As well as several "grandchildren of the heart" and many nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Samuel Craig, sisters Dorothea May Crotts and Jacqueline Hamer, Step Mother Betty Schmidt, sons Craig and Timothy, and grandchild Craig.
