W. Jeanne Engle

W. Jeanne Engle, 94, of Rock Island, passed away March 10, 2025, at Jersey Ridge Place, Davenport.

Cremation rites have been accorded and private inurment will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Jeanne was born on November 13, 1930, in Clearfield, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn E. and Leota M. (Ruckman) McLaury. She had previously been employed for 28 years as a realtor with Mel Foster, a career that she loved. She was incredibly social, a master gardener, and a woman of Presbyterian faith. Jeanne loved being with her family.

Survivors include her children, Susan Lantz, Judy Cherevko, Nancy (Alex) Sibilla and Eric (Trisha) Engle; grandchildren, Kalysha, Uda, Jesse, Sarah, Isaiah, Charlotte; and 6 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Petty; son-in-law, Victor Cherevko; and siblings, Donald and Elsie.
