W. Robert "Bob" Johnson, 71 of Moline died August 8, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Moline Viking's Scholarship or the Kidney Center.
Bob was born June 24, 1935 in Prophetstown, IL to Elmer and Wilma (Marks) Johnson. He married Clarice J. Johnson on July 31, 1954 at First Congregational Church, Moline.
Bob worked at John Deere Harvester, East Moline for 30 years repairing machines. He retired in March of 2003.
Bob was a member of First Congregational Church, Moline. He was a member and financial secretary for Thor Lodge #9 Independent Order of Vikings, Moline. He was also a member of the V.A.S.A. Lodge and Svithoid Club. He was active in Boy Scouts.
Bob loved his friends and family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
