Walter H. Clark, Jr.

Walter Harrison Clark, Jr., 92, of Moline passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at New Perspective Senior Living in Silvis,

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday January 21, 2023 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities or First Christian Church of East Moline.

Walter was born on January 2, 1931 in Cornwall-On -Hudson, NY to parents, Walter H. & Marion (Maher) Clark, Sr.

He attended Cornwall-On-Hudson High School and graduated in the class of 1949. He enlisted in the US. Navy and served from 1951-1955. He attended Laine Technical institute in Evansville, IN.

He married Eula Mae Tevebaugh on November 10,1956.

Walter was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), East Moline where he enjoyed helping with yard care and maintenance.

Walter worked for 11 years as a designer at John Deere and 20 years as a components engineer at J.I. Case where he won many awards for cost saving strategies for the company.

Walter loved his family and especially enjoyed playing, fishing, and card games with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved music and enjoyed attending the many concerts, Drum Corps shows and Dance recitals of his children and grandchildren. Walter enjoyed maintaining his home, yard, and automobiles.

Survivors include sons, Richard (Amy Gibb-Clark) Clark and David (Mary) Clark; grandchildren, Andrew (Maureen) Gibb-Clark, Stephanie Gibb-Clark, Andrea Clark, Jeff Clark, Matthew Clark; and great-grandchildren, Amelia Clark, Emmett Gibb-Clark and Melody Gibb-Clark.

Walter was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae (Tevebaugh) Clark, parents and 6 siblings.
