Walter Rozycki, 91 of Rock Island, died on October 6, 2013 at Heartland Health Care in Moline.
A visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Chippiannock Cemetery in Rock Island. Memorials may be made to family for a fund to be established.
Walter was born in Poland on January 5, 1922, he married Mildred Wysocki in Chicago on June 19, 1954, and she preceded him in death in February 1986.
Walter was a member of the Polish Army and later joined forces with the British Army fighting against the Germans during WWII. After coming to America at the end of the war he and his wife settled in Rosemont, Illinois where Walter was a machinist working with numerous companies retiring from Sloan Valve in 1987. He then moved to Rock Island in 2004 to be with his daughter and family. Walter loved to go out to eat and enjoyed old movies. He was a member of the UAW.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Elizabeth and Brett Craddock of Rock Island.

Many nieces and nephews including a special niece, Alicia.
He was preceded in death by 1 brother and 4 sisters.
