Wanda Darlene Whitsell, age 72, of Lynn Center, IL died Friday, May 16, 2008 at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Orion. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion.
Wanda was born April 27, 1936 in Knoxville, IL the daughter of Fred and Mabel Knowles. She married Lloyd Whitsell on November 17, 1956 in Knoxville.
Wanda was employed as a waitress and cook at the Dairy K for 25 years retiring in the early 1990's. She was a member of the Orion United Methodist Church. Wanda enjoyed gardening, oil painting, family, cooking and sewing. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed.
