Warren (Buck) Hanna, 77, of Moline, Illinois passed on Monday, February 2, 2009 at his home with his family. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Wesleyan Church, 4801 44th Street, Rock Island, Illinois, on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Family will greet friends one hour before services. Memorials may be made to Heritage Wesleyan Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family with arrangements.
He worked at John Deere Harvester for more than 30 years, retiring from the Repair Department in 1993. He then worked for the Rock Island County Sheriff's Department as a Bailiff at the Rock Island County Courthouse until 2007. He was known for entertaining with his harmonica and his sense of humor. He was regularly a victim and sometimes a perpetrator of practical jokes.
Buck was born to Frank and Marvel Hanna, on March 7, 1931 at Moline Public Hospital. He married Mary L. Lockett on January 24, 1953 and they were blessed with 7 children: Linda (Chris), Little Rock; Ron (Nanci), Palos Hills; Cheryl (Charlie), Moline; Steve (Karen), Rock Island; Frank (Kim) Dallas; Teresa (Dino), Erie; and Diane, Moline. He was very proud of all his children and loved spending time with his 12 grandchildren and his 11 great grandchildren.
He is dearly missed by all.
