Wauneta F. Earl, age 77, of Rock Island, died Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Salem Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. As the family wishes, memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Moline or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
Wauneta was born September 21, 1931 in Moline, the daughter of Grover C. and Huldah A. (Moody) Earl.
Wauneta was employed as a production control supervisor for John Deere Harvester Works for 34 years, retiring on October 15, 1983. She was a 1949 graduate of Moline High School. Wauneta was a very active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline where she was a greeter and volunteer. She also was a volunteer with the Trinity Hospital Auxiliary. Wauneta lived in Ft. Myers, FL for 6 years and was manager of Woodland Trailer Park in Milan for 11 years. She enjoyed baking cookies, reading, and traveling, especially to Arizona. Wauneta loved people, children and her family.

Several cousins, family members and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved cat, Chloe.
