Wiley D. Cook, age 79, of Orion, died Sunday, February, 28, 2010 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 at Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama. Burial of cremains will be in Cooper Cemetery, Detroit, AL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Wiley was born February 2, 1931 in Marion Co., AL, the son of A.C. and Lily Seay Cook. He married Alice Carter on October 8, 1950.
Wiley was a painter for John Deere Cylinder in Moline, retiring in 1993 after 27 years. He enjoyed his work and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing and he attended Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island.
