Willa Mae “Babe” Bray, 97, of Moline, passed away on Saturday, April 09 surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38 Avenue, Moline. Private family services will be held at a later date and burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.
Babe was born on November 30, 1918 in Urbana, Illinois the daughter of James William and Violet Elizabeth Roughton Johnson. She married Alger “Curly” Bray on September 25, 1937 in Tuscola, IL. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1998.
Babe was primarily a homemaker but had managed the cafeteria at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School for 17 years. She was a member of and Sunday School teacher at Aldersgate Church. She was a talented quilter and seamstress and, above all, was the heart of her family.
