William James Alexander

William “Bill” “Jim” James Alexander, 82, of Hampton, IL, died Monday, May 15, 2017, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Memorials may be made to the family.
William was born on August 12, 1934, in Moline, IL, the son of William P. and Verbeda Pierce Alexander. He worked as a paint equipment repair technician for John Deere for 27 and a half years, retiring in 1993.
William enjoyed bowling and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Survivors include his sons, William “Paul” (Heather), Hampton, IL, and Kevin, Hampton, IL; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Billy, Hampton, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard.
