William A. Burt, 84, formerly of East Moline, died Monday, October 10, 2011, in Green Cove Springs, FL.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 412 10th St., Moline. Visitation will be from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Inurnment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline.
William was born June 6, 1927 in Waukegan, IL, the son of Francis E. and Grace Hauenstein Burt. He married Rosemary Adele Shore on December 26, 1949, in Kenosha, WI. She died May 14, 2002 in Rock Island.
William was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He had retired from International Harvester as plant superintendent and ran Burt's Auto Body and Welding from 1977-1990. He had also worked at American Motors, Kenosha, WI and Thor Box Car Company and Bud Company, both in East Chicago.
