William “Bill” Carlson, 73, of Moline, IL, died Monday, November 21, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Private burial will be held at Monmouth Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Care Center. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Bill was born on October 3, 1943, in Monmouth, IL, the son of John and Irene Hill Carlson. He married Judy Kay Lox on February 19, 1965. Later, he married Martha Jane Dumolien on April 9, 1994, in Las Vegas, NV, and she preceded him in death on November 22, 2014. He was the owner and operator of Cameo Tanning and Photography.
Bill was a self-taught wedding photographer and ran several successful businesses for over 45 years. He was an enthusiastic racquetball player, pool shooter, and card player. Bill had a love for dancing and singing Elvis songs. He especially enjoyed people and always had a smile or words of encouragement.
Survivors include his sons, Q Carlson and J.R. (Deanna) Carlson; grandchildren, Conner, Jack, Ashlei, and Heather; 5 great grandchildren; father, John Carlson; brother, Stan (Diane) Carlson; sister, Stephanie Carlson Nagel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Carlson; grandparents, Mort and Connie Hill.
