William E. "Bill" Grothusen, 84 of Moline died March 16, 2004 at Rosewood Health Care Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice or the Humane Society.
William was born February 3, 1920 in Davenport, IA to William H. and Lillian E. Schwenke Grothusen. He married Margaret Anderson on February 14, 1941 in Maquoketa, IA.
William was a WWII Navy veteran serving from 1943-1946. He was a tool and dye maker at Amitek for 28 years. He also worked for John Deere Harvester from 1980-1982.
William enjoyed cars, Harley's and Goldwings. He also loved pets. He was a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Moline Lodge No. 1014 AF & AM, Moline, IL.
He will always be remembered for his kind soul.
