William Joseph Reedy II

William J. Reedy II, 96, of Sherrard, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Private graveside services for he and his wife, Veta will be held at a later date, inurnment will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family with arrangements.
William was born November 4, 1915 in Henderson County, Illinois, the son of William Joseph and Margaret "Nellie" Ryan Reedy. He married Veta Corbin on July 9, 1940 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Alexis, IL. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2004.
William retired as a machinist from Farmall in Rock Island in June of 1975 after 31 years. He enjoyed gardening, reading and furniture refinishing. Above all his love was his family.
