William Kurkowski, 85, of Geneseo, died Thursday, August 23, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Per William's wishes, there will be no services. Cremation rites have been accorded.
William was born December 19, 1921 in Grenville, South Dakota, the son of John and Lucy Lesnar Kurkowski. He married Jean Zinis on June 11, 1949 in Chicago.
He was a machinist at International Harvester for 33 years, retiring in 1980. In his younger years he farmed in Grenville, SD. He was also a PFC Army Veteran serving in WWII.
