William D. Layman, 56, of East Moline, died September 4, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 4:30 p.m. with visitation from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Cremation rites will follow and inurnment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to RICCA.
Bill was born August 10, 1952 in Moline to William W. and Josephine Marx Layman. He married Karen A. Johnson on October 31, 1980.
Bill was a firefighter for the City of Moline retiring in 2005. He also worked at Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center. He enjoyed playing golf and coaching his sons in soccer, baseball and basketball. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
