William G. Lear, age 74 of East Moline, died Saturday, December 30, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center,West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 4, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Memorials may be made to his family.
Bill was born October 20, 1932 in Versailles, IL. the son of William G. and Ida G (Cawthon) Lear. He married Ann Melton in 1949, they later divorced. He then married Ida L. Martin on June 20, 1964 in Galesburg.
Bill was a tree trimmer and truck driver for various rendering companies in the Quad Cities. He was a member of FOE Aerie # 1112 in Moline. Bill was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles when he was young.
