William "Bill" Dean Milburn

William “Bill” Dean Milburn, 82 of Silvis, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at his residence.

Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at  15511 34^th Ave. East Moline, IL 61244.

Bill was born on May 24, 1942, on the family farm in rural Smithland, Iowa to Glen Dean and Betty Ann Hatz Milburn.

Bill was first employed at the local post office and went on to work at the Rock Island Arsenal starting as a desk clerk and retiring from logistics as a web master holding the title of: U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command” working at 1 Rock Island Arsenal.  Bill loved being outdoors whether it was fishing or hunting; he also loved woodworking but above all was spending time with his family.

Bill’s survivors include his sons; Mike (Stacy) Milburn and John (Misty) Milburn; granddaughter; Ashley (Jacob) Smith and great granddaughter; Alice Smith; sister; Barbara Melillo.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob “Turk” Milburn.
