William E. Pobanz

William Pobanz, age 57 of Colona died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at the Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to the Veteran's Hospital, Iowa City.
William was born July 9, 1949 in Moline the son of Edward E. and Donna J.( Poppy) Pobanz.
William was employed as a sheet metal worker at McLaughlin Body Shop in Moline. He was a medic serving in the army during the Vietnam War from 1969-72. William enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family.
