William A. “Bill” Akers, 60, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at his home.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 2-5 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the V.F.W. Hall, 1721 7th Street, Moline.
Bill was born on July 28, 1959, in Moline, the son of Elston Junior and Jacqulyn Wanda (Bradford) Akers. He was a graduate of Alleman High School. He previously worked for the City of Moline, retiring in 2013 after 30 years. He loved music and enjoyed playing the bass guitar. Bill also spent his retirement racing RC cars and flying drones.
Survivors include his children, Nicole; siblings, Wanda, Anna Marie (Willy), Spin (Denise), Johnny, James (Rhonda), Thomas, Michael, Corey (Kim); special friend, Vickie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
