William "Bill" John Elliott

William “Bill” John Elliott, 71, of East Moline, died Friday, January 19, 2018, in his home.

Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2018, at The Apostolic Sanctuary, 1501 John Deere Parkway, Silvis. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., following the visitation, Bishop Gary Randol presiding. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private burial will take place in the National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal at a later date.

Bill was born on December 20, 1946 in Moline, the son of William J. and Carolyn Shetler Elliott. He married Cindy Burgess on September 5, 1963, in Rock Island. He worked as a diesel mechanic.

Bill was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of The Apostolic Sanctuary in Silvis. Bill enjoyed bowling and golf.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy; sons, David (Charlene) Elliott, MO.; James (Tracy) Elliott, Silvis; William (Margarett) Elliott, TX; daughter, Michele Hotwick, MO; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested a donation be made to The Apostolic Sanctuary.
