Bernetta Foy

December 25, 1939 — January 17, 2019

Seeds of love, happiness and hope were planted.  Now it is time to watch them grow from above.  On January 17, 2019, Bernetta D. Foy, 79 of Moline, IL, passed peacefully having battled ill health.  Bernetta was ready to enjoy her eternal feast with the Lord.  Those of us who loved her were grateful of her new-found freedom from pain and that she can enjoy God’s presence.

Funeral services will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Graveside services will be at Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, Iowa, at 11 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019.

Bernetta was born on December 25, 1939, in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Theodore and Celia (O’Bannon) Frith, the family later moved to West Des Moines, IA.  She received her education from the West Des Moines Public Schools and Des Moines Area Community College.  Bernetta married Ronald L. Carter and from this union they had one son.  She later married Billie K. Foy of Moline, IL.  She worked for various companies in Des Moines and the Quad Cities.

Bernetta was an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, serving various positions in the church.  She also enjoyed her bible study fellowship classes where she shared the gospel with friends.  She recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award from TBC Mission Ministry.  She loved traveling, be it state side, Europe or cruising, she loved reading, playing cards and puttering in the yard.  She had a life well lived.

Bernetta leaves her loving memories to be cherished by, her son, Bruce L.
