David John Perez

David John Perez, 50, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, January 3, 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, with a rosary recited at 1 p.m. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.

David was born on February 10, 1971, in Silvis, the son of Carlos and Pam (Zaragoza) Perez. He married Bernadette Henn on June 4, 1994, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in East Moline. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1994 with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. He was currently employed by PCT Engineered Systems in Davenport. David was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. He enjoyed pokemoning, fishing, and traveling. David loved watching television and tinkering around the house. He also enjoyed cooking and recreating various recipes for himself and his family. Above all was his love for his family.

Survivors include his wife, Bernadette; children, Edward (Jennifer), Gabriella, Madilyn, Douglas, Rebekah, Jonathan; granddaughter, Emily; parents, Carlos and Pam Perez; sister, Elaine (Terry) Byrne; brother, Michael Perez.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Marcelo & Antonia Perez and Jesse & Victoria Zaragoza; and 3 very special baby children.
