Edeltraud Maria “Jean” Navarro, 82, of East Moline, IL, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday May 22, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Per her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Illinois Chapter, Chicago.
Edeltraud was born on Feburary 9, 1934, in the former Teplitz-Schonau, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Josef and Margarete Pabst Gamperle. She married Hank Navarro on June 27, 1953, in Giessen, Germany.
Edeltraud loved to knit and watch HSN. She especially loved her dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Hank Navarro; children, Suzanne “Susie” (Stephen) Andrews, East Moline, IL, Henry Stephen Navarro, Waukegan, IL, and Stephanie (Mike) Navarro-Simpson, East Moline, IL; 2 grandchildren, Seth Andrews and Nicole Andrews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
