Eileen R. Madden

Eileen R. Madden, 92 of Moline, passed away on June 25, 2016 at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38 Avenue, Moline.  Following Eileen’s wishes there will be no funeral services.  She will be buried in a private graveside service to be attended by family members only. Memorials may be made to the Galesburg Rescue Mission.

Eileen was born on August 14, 1923 in Crandon, WI., the daughter of Roy A. and Myrth Faulkner Whitt.  She married Roscoe E. Madden on January 4, 1941 in Crandon Wisconsin.  He preceded her in death on February 16, 2005.

Eileen was employed by Rand’s Department Store, owned her own restaurant, called “Eileen’s,” and retired from A & P in 1980.  She was an avid bowler, loved babies and kittens, and was a fabulous cook and baker.  She also was a professional shopper.  Above all she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters;

A host of Grandchildren, Great-grandchildren, and Great – great- grandchildren

And a host of nieces & nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and a great grandchild.
