Kathleen F. Johnson, 86, of Burlington, IA, formerly of Moline, died Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Sunnybrook at Burlington, Burlington, IA.

A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 3209 60th St, Moline.  Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Monday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave, Moline.  A recitation of the rosary will precede the visitation at 3:30 p.m.  Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Mausoleum, East Moline.  Memorials may be made to Christ the King, or your charity of choice.

Kathleen was born on November 29, 1931, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Willis and Marie Jardon Cupp.  She worked as the head cashier in the accounting department at the formerly known, Moline Public Hospital, for 30 years, retiring in 1988.  She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.  Her faith and love of the Lord were most important in her life as were her children.  She loved children and helped with the kindergarten class at Saint Mary’s for years after she retired.  She also cooked for the nuns at St. Mary’s for several years.  She loved to get away and fish in Canada every summer and enjoyed card playing and traveling.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret (Jeff) Schuler, Burlington, IA; two sisters, Mary L (James) Castrery, Bettendorf, IA, and Frances Wolfe, Davenport, IA; sister-in-law, Jeananne Cupp, Rock Island, sister in law Sharon Johnson, Moline, IL; step sister Patty Tucker, Taylorville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael A. Johnson; sister, Germaine Cupp; brothers, James Cupp, and Eugene Cupp.
