Michael D. McCarty, 63, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1140 E High Street, Davenport, IA. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to Habitat for Humanity.
Michael was born on March 11, 1952, in Burlington, IA, the son of Arthur and Alberta Hinrichsen McCarty. He married Sherry Linder on September 8, 1978, in Stronghurst, IL. He worked as an associate for Toys R Us for 28 years.
Michael was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Davenport. He was an avid Packers, Cardinals, and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Michael especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Sherry; daughter, Katie (Mike) Noack, Moline, IL; grandchildren, Julie & Alex; brother, Larry (Donna) McCarty, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
