Patricia "Patty" M. Witherspoon

Patricia “Patty” M. Witherspoon, 69, of Silvis, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 in Silvis.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline, with a memorial visitation from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

Patty was born on January 27, 1949 in Moline, the daughter of Neal and Phyllis (Normyle) Powell.  She married John Witherspoon in December of 1979 in Rock Island and they lived together in Geneseo for 25 years.  Patty enjoyed going to garage sales and auctions, as well as to the movies and out to eat.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her dogs.  Patty was known for her sense of humor and unique personality; she was young at heart.

Survivors include her sons, Troy (Stacey) Larson and Chris (Brenda) Robb; grandchildren, McKae and Brock Larson and Eve and Carter Robb; siblings, Pam (Tom) Slead, Norma McDonald, Gary (Barb) Powell, and Dorothy (Joel) Thone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; and brother, Neal “Butch” Powell.
