Pauline M. Jackson, 95, a lifelong resident of Rock Island County, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017. She passed peacefully at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline after a long stay at that facility, surrounded by family and the wonderful people who work at Hope Creek. The family will greet friends on Monday, October 2, 2017, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. A private family gravesite burial will be held at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate at a later date.
Pauline was born on October 24, 1921, in Moline, IL, to Oscar & Carrie Peterson. She married Donald Jackson on October 24, 1943, in Moline, IL. They lived in Colorado for a few years but moved back to Moline to be with family. They moved again in 1963 to Rock Falls, IL, where Don was a supervisor for Goodyear Tire & Rubber until he retired. Don & Pauline then worked for Grennan Funeral Home in Sterling, IL, for some years before moving back to Moline.
Pauline was a great & caring person and a wonderful mother to her two sons. She was a great housewife, grandmother, cook, gardener, and friend to many people. She was loved by so many.
Left to honor her memory are her two sons, Robert (Cheryl) Jackson and Kevin (Lori) Jackson; granddaughters, Molly Jackson & Dawn Rosenbaum; brother, Robert Peterson; niece, Diane (Jim) Vana; nephew, Dane (Judy) Peterson; numerous loving extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; parents, Oscar & Carrie Peterson; sister-in-law, Audrene Peterson.
